I was planning on giving this lamp away to Goodwill since I never used it, it didn't go with my decor, and I generally just thought it was ugly. But then I got inspired to try and make it better. I went to Home Depot and picked up some glossy black and robins egg blue paint and went to town on my lamp. Below is a picture of the new and improved lamp. I sort of like it now. I think I'll wait a bit to give it away. :)

I am totally digging this zebra printed laptop case from JCrew. I swear that JCrew just gets better and better every year!

My friend Lindsay is an AMAZING graphic designer. Look at the awesome Christmas gift certificate she made for fun for her future brother-in-law. So Chic! She is in the beginning stages of starting her own company and I know she will be incredibly successful. She is very modest but absolutely brilliant! She just started a new blog Visual Yummy. Isn't that the best name? Now that I have mentioned it, perhaps she will be forced to update her blog more regularly :)

A few weeks ago I was at a design store that was going out of business and I spotted this very same pair of faux snakeskin benches. The price listed was $250 each but I am pretty sure I could have gotten them cheaper. The owner was willing to accept any "reasonable" offers. I seriously considered making an offer but then talked myself out of it. Recently I saw the benches listed on Chapman Radcliff Home's 1st Dibs site and the price was $950! Oh well.... coulda, woulda, shoulda!

I'm not sure if sunburst mirrors are one of those trends that are already over but I still really want one and I think the sunburst mirror above from Horchow would suit me perfectly.

I recently had the unique and somewhat random opportunity to spend time with celeb Milo Ventimiglia of Heroes fame. I have to admit that I really didn't know anything about Milo before I met him except for the random tidbits I read in People or UsWeekly. Had it been someone like John Krasinski, I would have been beside myself with excitement. I did entertain the thought of asking Milo to have John call me (since they are apparently friends) but then thought this would come off as quite creepy and stalkeresque. I'm glad I didn't make a fool of myself :)
Anyways, Milo was very nice and pleasant to be around, if not a little shy. I definitely would not describe him as the gregarious type, so in order to make conversation I asked if he had a girlfriend or was "seeing someone." Admittedly this was quite nosy of me and absolutely none of my business. Surprisingly, Milo went into this whole discussion of how he was really busy and didn't have time to date and recently got out of a "bloodbath" of a 3 year relationship. I was surprised at how candid he was since I figured he would have responded with a simple "no" or "yes" or "it's not of your F*%@in business."
Cut to last week where I see the picture above of Mr. "I don't have time for a girlfriend" at the mall with none other than his just-barely-turned-18 year old costar Hayden Panettiere. Now Milo and I are over... done with it... finito. I realize that the last person he was going to tell about his relationship with a teenager was lil' old me, but he could have simply said "no comment" or "I don't talk about my personal life with strangers thank you." And to think it could have been such a beautiful one sided relationship.......

[Here is a picture of Milo and I. I'm the one with the blonde hair that I cut out of the frame. What can I say? I like to keep things anonymous ;)]

So earlier I posted about some amazing coffee tables that I was lusting after.... Well here they are! Left to my own devices (no help from Mercury Design Studios thank you) I accidently stumbled upon them while visitingMaison Luxe. They are $450 a piece, which is a bit more than I was hoping for. Maybe the coffee table fairy will surprise me with a pair? I LOVE THEM!!!!
