At Home With Erinn Valencich

Erinn Valencich is a designer who has appeared on TV shows like HGTV, The View, and Entertainment Tonight. The latest issue of Budget Decorating magazine has a beautiful spread of pictures of her glamorous Hollywood Hills home. Enjoy!

Erinn spray-painted the mirror in her hallway herself with a high gloss red paint. I love the ornate design of the mirror and I love the coral themed fabric (or flower themed....I cannot quite tell) she chose for the bench along with the fabulous John Robshaw throw pillow.

I totally love the clean, classic, and modern look of Erinn's living room. The neutral couches are from Natuzzi but I love that there are splashes of color in the room - with the turquoise buddha from Takashimaya and turquoise votive holder. I am also digging the navy and white greek key pillows from Williams-Sonoma Home. Plus, pink peonies make any room more fabulous don't ya think?

Well of course I am obsessed with zebra rugs so I think I would like this room no matter what. I also love the use of pattern in this room - from the vine covered wallpaper to the striped chair and the trellis fabric on the drapes. I think it all goes together very well. I also love the vintage looking French poster on the wall. I have one that is very similar that I absolutely love.

A great tip that Erinn shared in the article is to paint a room's ceiling a different color other than white. In her dining room Erinn painted the ceiling muslin grey, which looks fabulous against the charcoal walls (which just happens to be one of my favorite paint colors for any room). Would you believe that the drapes used in the dining room were made from fabric that was only $5 a yard? Love it!

Here is a guest room from Erinn's home that is equally lovely. I love the clean lines of the day bed and the intricate lattice pattern on the mirror resting above.

Erinn's bedroom seems like the perfect oasis - as a bedroom should be. Again, the room is very clean and neutral with pops of color. I am dying over the John Robshaw poppies quilt. I desperately want one too. The scalloped headboard is totally unique and I love the round sunburst like mirror above the bed. The window shade fabric is Osborne & Little and it is from the Boheme Collection.

I love the fact that Erinn chose to mix expensive furniture with vintage and second-hand pieces. For example, Erinn scored the metal chair above from the Rose Bowl flea market in Pasadena. By the way, if you are ever in Pasadena on the second Sunday of the month, YOU MUST go to the Rose Bowl flea market. I was just there this past Sunday and it never fails to disappoint. There are literally millions of unique items to buy along with great vintage furniture and really cool art. You should definitely check it out one time if you get the chance!
